The TU Catholic Newman Center is so much more than just a place to go to Mass on Sundays. The Newman Center is the main social and spiritual hub for the Catholic community on campus at TU. It’s a place to explore and grow deeper in your faith, and also a place to have fun, study, and make lifelong friends.
Newman offers daily Mass, catechesis, morning and evening prayer, community rosaries, and Bible studies, just to name a few things. No matter what your schedule looks like, there is something for you to get involved in to help your faith grow. Newman is also home to four FOCUS missionaries whose job is to help college students deepen their spiritual lives. College is an opportunity for amazing personal and spiritual growth, and our hope is to help you grow closer to God every day.
Newman is also a buzzing social hub. Every Tuesday, there is a free lunch open to the entire campus. There are also dinners, movie nights, intramural teams to play on, fun events and parties, and an abundance of informal hangouts. The classroom upstairs has a whiteboard and projector, and is a perfect place to hold a group study session. The Newman kitchen is available for students to use (as long as you clean up!) and has pretty much anything you could need. Our game room has a pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, entertainment center, and tons of games. Students can be found hanging out here or in the lobby at pretty much any time of the day or night. If you’re looking for a friend to hang out with, you often don’t have to look much further than the Newman Center.
We hope that your time at TU is an enjoyable experience, and we would love for you to be a part of the beautiful community at Newman. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for students, a sort of “home away from home”. Stop by anytime and take advantage of all that the TU Catholic Newman Center has to offer. See you soon!
