Film Fest 2013

Did you know that Newman’s Film Fest dates back to 2004? Yep, it’s a long-standing tradition that’s chalked up to a darn good time. This year’s Film Fest is Thursday, May 2, 7:00p at the Newman Center. All students are encouraged to submit a film. There’s no time length restrictions, but typically our films fall in the 3 to 7 minute range. Just upload your video to YouTube and send the link to film-fest@utulsa.edu. Plus, this year we are especially inviting alumni to submit films for the fest.

Faith and Food – Timothy Putnam, Comida Latina Autentica

If you’re hungry for truth and knowledge, as well as fantastic cuisine from our amigos in Central and South America, we’ve got the hook up. Our very own Juan David Posada (de Colombia y Venezuela) y Marino Marín (padres de Costa Rica) will be cooking up an authentic homemade storm. Timothy Putnam, the Director of Family Life for the Diocese of Tulsa, will be our guest of honor. Bring friends, por favor.

Update (March 8): Thank you to all who attended last night! The food was amazing (muchas gracias to Juan and Mariano) and Timothy’s talk was a fantastic case for true and committed marriage. Missed the evening? You can listen to the audio of the talk at your own liesure.
