In light of health and safety for all, we have cancelled the April 23, 2020, St. Philip Neri Society Gala. We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time and look forward to a future opportunity to honor Pam & Michael Tanner, as well as celebrate the achievements of our students.  We are extremely grateful to our sponsors, vendors, and entire Newman community for your support and continued prayers. With The University of Tulsa having online classes, our ministry to the college students has moved to a virtual platform as well. We are hosting weekly guest speakers, faith formation classes and community social time together via an online “room”.  Our Bible studies and small groups are continuing in this manner as well, and Fr. Ketterer is reaching out to the students on a regular basis.  We are using this time to be creative with ways to interact together, from afar, and deepen our mission to ‘form university students through an active faith-filled community to develop them as missionary disciples of Christ’.   Our event, which brings together 400 guests and raises $200,000 for our ministry is vital to the work of the organization.  If you were planning on becoming a sponsor or making a gift of support, you can still make a secure donation online at tu-catholic.org/makeagift.  Please know that every gift will make a difference in faith journey of our college students, especially during this challenging time when they are looking to the Lord to be “a stronghold in times of trouble” (Psalm 9:10). With great excitement, we are delighted to invite you to our premiere event of the year – the St. Philip Neri Society Gala! This year it will take place on Thursday, April 23, 2020, in the Donald W. Reynolds Center on The University of Tulsa’s campus.

The evening will be a night to remember for all. From meeting the college students to enjoying fun and merriment, and most importantly of all helping us honor Pam and Michael Tanner. We are very happy to have the opportunity to serve as this year’s chairs and lead the celebration of this remarkable couple.  Over 10 years ago, the Holy Spirit fanned the flame of Michael and Pam Tanner’s faith.  He inspired them with a renewed excitement and the desire to share the joy of the Gospel with others.
